Peterbilt has announced the next evolution of its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the next-generation Model 579EV and the all-new Model 567EV, the industry's first electric heavy-duty conventional vocational truck.

Designed for optimal performance and efficiency, these new battery-electric vehicles offer exceptional versatility, rapid charging capabilities (up to 350kW DC), and advanced safety features, catering to the diverse needs of modern fleet and vocational operations.

The enhanced Model 579EV, building on its established platform, now boasts up to 200 miles of range across three battery options and features like an electronic parking brake, standard Bendix® Fusion™ Stop & Auto-Go, and an EV-exclusive interior and exterior styling.

The groundbreaking Model 567EV, designed for vocational applications, offers up to 250 miles of range with four battery options, available ePTO (up to 150kW), customizable frame and controls, and the same distinctive EV interior and exterior accents.

Both models are powered by the new adaptable PACCAR ePowertrain, featuring a midship-mounted eMotor with a 3-speed transmission, multiple power outputs (up to 605 HP and 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque), and reliable LFP battery technology. They also incorporate an EV-specific digital driver display, SmartLINQ® integration, configurable preconditioning and charging, and the new Peterbilt SmartDisplay™ infotainment system.

Peterbilt is also a dedicated EV deployment partner, offering a full range of AC and DC chargers through PACCAR Parts and collaborating with QMerit and Schneider Electric for infrastructure planning and installation.

"Peterbilt is leading the charge in high-performance, zero-emissions heavy-duty vehicles," stated Erik Johnson, assistant general manager, Sales and Marketing for Peterbilt.
