Overview
Overview
This 2027 Peterbilt 567 conventional day cab is spec’d as a construction dump truck for on/off-highway service. It has a Heritage HS-SP 19' x 54" x 60" end dump body, a Binotto telescopic hoist and an electric flip tarp, and is finished in Pearl White with a black frame.
Engine & Drivetrain
Power comes from a PACCAR MX-13 rated at 510 HP at 1,600 RPM, governed at 2,200 RPM, with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM. The engine is in its performance setting, meets 2024 emissions standards and is CARB compliant. The powertrain is optimized for performance in heavy GCWR and vocational applications, with a typical operating speed of 68 MPH.
The engine is equipped with a PACCAR compression brake with controls on the right-hand column, a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stop work, and a high-efficiency cooling system. It also has dual self-cleaning under-hood pre-cleaners with a firewall-mounted air cleaner, a PACCAR fuel/water separator with extended service interval, an engine fuel cooler, a 110-120V immersion block heater and a WABCO 25.9 CFM air compressor.
The electrical system includes a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, a PACCAR premium starter and three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries totaling 2,190 CCA. A Kissling 300A power disconnect switch and a low-voltage disconnect system round it out. The engine idle shutdown timer is disabled. PTO mode control is set up for the cab station, and a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision is located in the engine bay.
Exhaust is a left-hand stack with the DPF/SCR in a single module under the right side of the cab, finished with a 36" chrome-plated standpipe with a 45-degree curved tip.
The Allison 4500 RDS-P Gen 6 Rugged Duty Series transmission runs in a 6-speed configuration with a TC-571 torque converter, neutral-at-stop and a dash-mounted push-button shifter. The driveline is an SPL170 HD-XL with two midship bearings and an SPL170 XL interaxle shaft. Rear axle ratio is 4.10. A dash-mounted, single-acting, electric-over-hydraulic PTO control is included.
Chassis & Axles
Wheelbase is 289", with 86.2" front axle to back of cab, 202.8" cab to axle and 259.8" cab to end of frame. GVWR and GCW are both 85,000 lbs. Engineering-assigned GAWRs are 18,740 lbs front, 11,020 lbs pusher and 23,000 lbs rear. Maximum grade rating is 6%.
The frame uses 10-3/4" steel rails at 3/8" thickness with a full steel inner liner. The rails are zinc-coated for corrosion protection, with aluminum crossmembers and heavy-duty iron front spring brackets. The end of frame is square with no crossmember so the body builder can install one.
Up front is a PACCAR FX-20 wide-track steer axle rated at 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop. Steering is Sheppard HD94 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted reservoir and cooler, and the front spring pins are greasable.
The rear is a Dana Spicer D46-172 tandem rated at 46,000 lbs, with heavy-wall drive axles, a tandem differential lock with speed interlock, and synthetic lubricant in all axles. Two Watson-Chalin SL13 self-steering pusher axles are rated at 13,500 lbs each and come with two dedicated air tanks. They sit 49" and 98" from the centerline of the forward drive axle. The lift axle regulators are frame-mounted with switches and gauges in the dash, and the pushers stow higher when lifted for maximum ground clearance.
Braking is handled by Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes on the steer and tandem drive axles, with cast drums on the pushers. The truck also has Bendix ESP electronic stability with ATC, 6S6M anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring, a pneumatic park brake, an SBM valve, and a Bendix AD-HF EP air dryer with heater and coalescing filter.
The air system uses polished aluminum air tanks outside the rails with pull cords, nylon chassis hose, body connections at the back of cab and a 7-way socket at the end of frame.
Fuel is carried in a polished 26" aluminum 110-gallon tank under the left side of the cab with a polished non-slip step and polished straps. The 14-gallon DEF tank is mounted on the left side behind the cab under a polished stainless cover. A polished aluminum space-saver battery box sits on the right side behind the cab, alongside a non-slip aftertreatment cab entry step. Up front is a deep tapered chrome steel bumper with two tow points and a heavy-duty external tow eye.
Suspension
The rear suspension is a Hendrickson HMX EX 460 HaulMaax rated at 46,000 lbs, with a 54" axle spread, a 70K creep rating and dedicated shock absorbers. The front uses 20,000 lb taper leaf springs with Tenneco shocks. The cab rides on cab air suspension.
Cab & Interior
The 115" BBC aluminum day cab has a Metton hood, stainless crown and grille, tilt assist and a thermal insulation package. The Prestige interior is Sterling Gray with black seats. The driver gets a premium Peterbilt LX air ride, high-back Mordura seat with a right-hand armrest. The passenger has a high-back Mordura seat with a left-hand armrest and a toolbox underneath.
At the wheel is a multi-function steering wheel with audio and cruise controls on a tilt/telescoping column. The 15" digital cluster displays engine and transmission oil temperature, air filter restriction, brake application pressure and engine percent torque. Separate backlit gauges cover front and rear drive axle oil temperature, fuel filter restriction, manifold pressure and both pusher axle pressures. Three additional dash switches are pre-wired.
For audio and communications, the cab has a ConcertClass AM/FM/weatherband radio with 3.5mm aux input, four speakers, Bluetooth phone and audio, and a USB port. A Uniden Bearcat 880 CB with weatherband is mounted in the center header. Global telematics hardware comes with a 5-year SmartLINQ remote diagnostics and over-the-air update subscription.
The cab also has power windows and locks, combination heater/AC, dark window tint, a one-piece curved windshield and a fixed one-piece rear window. Outside, there’s a stainless sunvisor, bright-finish aero mirrors that are motorized and heated with integrated convex lenses, a passenger-side look-down mirror, and dual roof-mounted 23" air horns. Rounding out the cab are intermittent wipers, a removable bugscreen, a rear-wall map pocket, an NFPA-compliant exterior grab handle, a fire extinguisher and a triangle reflector kit.
Body & Equipment
The Heritage HS-SP end dump body measures 19' x 54" x 60" and is paired with a Binotto 7-4-182 telescopic hoist and an Aero electric flip tarp system.
The chassis comes from the factory with a 107 dB backup alarm, two bracket-mounted LED load lights, and switch and wiring for a beacon/strobe. Marker switch wiring is in place for auxiliary lights. Lighting includes projector headlights with fender-mounted turn signals, five LED bullet marker lights and self-canceling turn signals, and the fenders have 4.5" rubber fender lips.
The cab, hood, roof and fenders are painted Axalta two-stage metallic/pearl Pearl White, over a black frame.
Tires & Wheels
The steer axle runs Bridgestone 385/65R22.5 18-ply M864 tires on Accuride 22.5 x 12.25 aluminum wheels. The tandem drive runs eight Bridgestone 11R22.5 16-ply M863 tires on Accuride 22.5 x 8.25 aluminum wheels. The two pusher axles carry four Bridgestone 255/70R22.5 16-ply R250ED tires on Accuride 22.5 x 8.25 aluminum wheels. All wheels are extra-polished, and wheel guards are fitted on the steer, tandem and pusher axles.
Warranty & Protection
This new unit is backed by Peterbilt Class 8 standard coverage of 1 year/100,000 miles (160,000 km). PACCAR MX standard engine coverage runs 2 years/250,000 miles (400,000 km)/6,250 hours, and the base emissions warranty runs 5 years/100,000 miles.
