Overview
This new 2027 Peterbilt Model 567 conventional day cab tractor is built for construction dump service on and off the highway. It is set up to pull a 53' semi-end dump trailer with two axles, a 36" kingpin, and a 13.5' trailer height. It is rated for 80,000 lbs GCW and a 6% maximum grade. It runs a Cummins X15 525 HP engine, an Eaton Endurant XD Pro 18-speed automated transmission, and Dana Spicer tandem drive axles.
Engine & Drivetrain
The Cummins X15 Performance Series engine is rated 525 HP at 1,900 RPM, governed at 1,900 RPM, with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM. It is a model year 2026 engine meeting 2024 emissions standards, and it is CARB compliant and EPA and CARB idling compliant. Engine equipment includes a Jacobs compression brake with controls on the right-hand column, a 37.4 CFM air compressor, a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stop duty, a high-efficiency cooling system, and a firewall-mounted air cleaner. It also has a 110–120V immersion block heater, a PACCAR fuel/water separator with an extended service interval, and fuel heat for the fuel filter. The electrical system has a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, a PACCAR 12V starter, and four PACCAR Premium 12V dual-purpose batteries with 2,920 CCA. It also has a battery jumper terminal, a cab power disconnect switch, and a low-voltage disconnect system. The engine uses EMUX electronics architecture and includes a Predictive Cruise Control package. Vehicle speed is limited to 65 MPH, with a 64 MPH maximum cruise speed and a 5-minute idle shutdown timer. The exhaust is a dual setup with a left-hand stack look, and the DPF/SCR is a single module under the cab on the right-hand side. It has 42"-tall, 7" chrome-plated steel standpipes with 45-degree curved tips and chrome exhaust pipes. The Eaton Endurant XD Pro 18-speed automated transmission (EXDP-18F118D) is shifted from a right-hand column-mounted shifter. It uses a Performance Shift calibration and has a Rock Free Mode dash switch, Neutral Coast Mode at the pedal, and an oil-to-water transmission cooler. The driveline is a Dana Spicer RPL25 SD with one midship bearing and an RPL20 interaxle driveline. PTO provisions include a dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-air PTO control, a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision in the engine bay, and a 1,400 RPM PTO maximum engine speed.
Chassis & Axles
The frame has 10-5/8" steel rails that are 5/16" thick, with a zinc-coated anti-corrosion treatment and aluminum crossmembers. The end of the frame is tapered for a tractor and has a kingpin cutout. The wheelbase is 220", with a 90.1" front-axle-to-back-of-cab, 129.9" cab-to-axle, and 184.6" cab-to-end-of-frame. GVWR is 53,200 lbs. GAWR is 13,200 lbs on the front and 20,000 lbs on each of the two drive axles. The front axle is a Dana Spicer E1322IL wide-track axle rated 13,200 lbs with a 3.5" drop. Steering is a Sheppard HD94 power steering gear with a frame-mounted reservoir. The rear axles are Dana Spicer DSH40 High Performance 40 tandems rated 40,000 lbs, with a 3.70 ratio, a tandem diff lock with speed interlock, and synthetic lubricant in all axles. Meritor EX+ LS air disc brakes are fitted on the steer and tandem drive axles. They use PHP10 Iron Preset+ hubs and severe service disc brake rotors. Safety systems include Bendix ESP electronic stability with ATC and an ATC deactivation switch, 6S/6M ABS, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a pneumatic park brake.
