Overview
Overview
This new 2027 Peterbilt 567 conventional day cab tractor is configured for construction dump service on and off highway, set up to pull a 53' two-axle semi-end dump trailer. It is rated for a GCW of 80,000 lbs with a maximum grade rating of 6%, and is spec’d for approximately 90% highway operation.
Engine & Drivetrain
Power comes from a Cummins X15 Performance Series engine rated at 525 HP at 1,900 RPM (governed at 1,900 RPM) with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM, a 2026 model year engine built to 2024 emissions standards and CARB emission compliant. The powertrain is optimized for balanced service with frequent starts and stops, with a 65 MPH typical operating speed and a 65 MPH vehicle speed limiter setting. A Jacobs compression brake is controlled from the right-hand column, and a predictive cruise control package is included. The engine meets both CARB and EPA idling compliance, with an idle shutdown timer enabled and set to 5 minutes, plus an ambient temperature overrule. Supporting equipment includes the EMUX electronics architecture, a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, PACCAR 12V starter, four PACCAR Premium 12V dual-purpose batteries totaling 2,920 CCA, an under-hood battery jumper terminal, a cab power disconnect switch, and a low voltage disconnect system. Cooling and air handling include a high efficiency cooling system, a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stop duty, a firewall-mounted air cleaner, and an 18.7 CFM aspirated air compressor. Fuel system features include a PACCAR extended-service fuel/water separator with fuel filter heat, and a 110-120V immersion block heater is installed. A 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision is located in the engine bay.
The exhaust is a dual side-of-cab setup with a left-hand aesthetic stack and the DPF/SCR single module mounted under the cab on the right side, finished with 7" chrome-plated 42" standpipes with 45-degree curved tips and chrome exhaust pipes.
The transmission is an Eaton Endurant XD Pro EXDP-18F118D 18-speed automated with an oil-to-water cooler and a right-hand column-mounted shifter. It runs a performance shift calibration with an enabled second off-road shift calibration, a dash switch for Rock Free mode, and neutral coast mode at pedal. The driveline uses a Dana Spicer RPL25 SD main driveline with one midship bearing and an RPL20 interaxle driveline. A dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-air PTO control is included. Rear axle ratio is 3.70.
Chassis & Axles
The front axle is a Dana Spicer E1322IL rated at 13,200 lbs with a 3.5" drop and wide track, steered by a Sheppard HD94 power steering gear with a frame-mounted reservoir. The rear tandem is a Dana Spicer DSH40 High Performance 40 rated at 40,000 lbs, with tandem diff locks featuring a speed interlock and synthetic axle lubricant in all axles. Meritor EX+ LS air disc brakes are fitted on both the steer axle and tandem drive, with severe service disc brake rotors and PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs throughout. Safety systems include the Bendix ESP Electronic Stability Program with ATC (with a switch to deactivate traction control), a 6S6M anti-lock braking system, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a pneumatic park brake.
Engineering ratings are a GVWR of 53,200 lbs, with a front GAWR of 13,200 lbs and 20,000 lbs on each tandem drive axle. Wheelbase is 220" with a bumper-to-back-of-cab measurement of 90.1", cab-to-axle of 129.9", and cab-to-end-of-frame of 184.6". The frame uses 10-5/8" steel rails at 5/16" thickness with zinc-coated anti-corrosion treatment, aluminum crossmembers, and a tapered tractor end of frame with crossmember and kingpin cutout.
Fuel capacity comes from two polished 26" aluminum tanks behind the cab: a 110-gallon split tank on the right side with 60 gallons of fuel in the rear section, and a 100-gallon tank on the left. All tank straps are polished. A 24-gallon DEF tank is mounted on the left side behind the cab, rearward of the fuel tank, with a polished stainless steel cover.
Suspension
The front suspension uses taper leaf springs rated at 13,200 lbs with Tenneco shocks and 30 mm spring spacer blocks. The rear is a lightweight Peterbilt Low Air Leaf suspension rated at 40,000 lbs with a 52" axle spacing, controlled by a dash-mounted dump switch with indicator light. A cab air suspension is also included.
Cab & Interior
The cab is an aluminum 121" BBC day cab with a Metton hood, stainless steel crown and grille, and tilt assist, with a one-piece curved windshield, fixed one-piece rear window, and dark window tint. The driver seat is a Peterbilt LX premium-level high-back air ride seat in black leather, and the passenger seat is a Peterbilt ST high-back air ride seat in black vinyl, each with an armrest. A multi-function steering wheel with Peterbilt logo, audio, and cruise controls sits on a tilt/telescoping column. Convenience features include Peterbilt keyless entry, power door locks and windows, a combination fresh air heater and air conditioner, electric intermittent wipers, a rear wall deep record/map pocket, and a self-canceling turn signal.
Audio and communications include a ConcertClass AM/FM/WB radio with 3.5mm aux, Bluetooth phone and audio, USB port, a four-speaker midlevel package, and radio mute in reverse, plus a header-mounted Uniden PC78LTX CB radio with dual roof-mounted antennas. The truck is equipped with global telematics hardware and a 5-year SmartLINQ remote diagnostics subscription.
Instrumentation centers on a 15" digital cluster display that shows the engine hourmeter, PTO hourmeter, turbo boost, engine percent torque, automated transmission clutch temperature, air filter restriction, and tractor brake application pressure. Bright-bezel 52mm backlit gauges cover front and rear drive axle oil temperature, engine oil temperature, trailer reservoir air pressure, air suspension pressure, and fuel filter restriction. Three additional dash switches are pre-wired behind the dash.
Body & Equipment
The tractor is fitted with a Holland FW35 fifth wheel top plate in a no-tilt convertible configuration on a 30" Holland heavy-duty air slide, inboard-mounted at the centerline of the bogie with a left-hand release, dash slide controls, and an 8.6"-9.25" fifth wheel height. An electric dump switch is wired to the back of cab for a trailer tailgate, along with switch and wiring for an aftermarket beacon/strobe and auxiliary light marker wiring.

Exterior features include a chromed deep tapered steel bumper with two tow points, a stainless steel outside sunvisor, stainless steel braceless quarter fenders, Peterbilt rear mudflaps on spring-loaded stainless hangers, a removable bugscreen behind the grille, motorized and heated Peterbilt aero mirrors with integrated convex lenses in bright housings, a look-down mirror over the passenger door, and dual 23" roof-mounted round air horns. Lighting includes projector headlights with fender-mounted turn signals, daytime running lights, five LED aero marker lights, bracket-mounted LED stop/turn/tail/backup lights at the end of frame, and two flush-mounted LED load lights. A 107 dB backup alarm, fire extinguisher, and triangle reflector kit are included.
Paint is Axalta two-stage White on the cab, hood, hood top, cab roof, and fenders, with a black frame.
