This New 2027 Peterbilt Model 537 Medium Duty conventional chassis is configured for petroleum products hauling in tanker, liquid bulk service, carrying a 216" long, 120" tall tank body. GVWR is rated at 33,000 lbs on a 188" wheelbase, finished in white with a black frame. Operating area restrictions are set at 40' length, 102" width, and 13.5' height, with a maximum grade rating of 6%.
Engine & Drivetrain
Powered by a PACCAR PX-9 rated 330 HP (peak 2,000 RPM, governed at 2,200 RPM) with 1,000 lb-ft of torque at 1,200 RPM, built to a 2024-emissions-compliant, Productivity-focused spec (Model Year 2026 engine, EPA emission and idling compliant). Paired with an Allison 3000 RDS-P Rugged Duty Series automatic transmission in a 6-speed, close-ratio configuration, featuring a dash-mounted push-button shifter, Allison World Trans primary shift schedule, and Allison Neutral-at-Stop. Driveline is a 1710 HD unit with a single midship bearing. PTO provisions include a Chelsea flange-mount opening, a dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-hydraulic PTO control, LH-mounted transmission PTO provisions, and a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle control at the engine bay. Rear axle ratio is 5.25, set for a typical operating speed of 62 MPH with the powertrain optimized for performance GCWR. Electrical system includes EMUX electronics architecture, a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, a PACCAR 12V starter, three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA) in a battery box with disconnect switch, and a low-voltage disconnect system. Other equipment includes a Horton on/off fan clutch, an 18.7 CFM air compressor, a VGT exhaust brake, a PACCAR fuel/water separator with 12V heat, a high-efficiency cooling system, an engine-mounted air cleaner, a single right-hand SOC exhaust with under-cab DPF/SCR module, chrome standpipes with clear coat, and an immersion-type block heater (110–120V).
Chassis & Axles
Front axle is a Dana Spicer E1002IL rated 10,000 lbs with a 3.5" drop, taper leaf springs and shocks rated 12,000 lbs, greasable spring pins, and a wide-track configuration. Rear axle is a Dana Spicer S23-190 rated 23,000 lbs, heavy wall construction, with a differential lock (single drive axle, speed-interlock equipped). GAWR is 10,000 lbs front / 23,000 lbs rear for a 33,000 lb GVWR. Steering is handled by a Sheppard HD94 power steering gear with a frame-mounted reservoir. PHP10 aluminum preset-plus hubs and air disc brakes are fitted front and rear, with dust shield pads at both ends, an ABS 4S4M system, a tire pressure monitoring system, synthetic axle lubricant throughout, an SBM valve, and a pneumatic park brake. Frame consists of 10-5/8" steel rails (286"–325" length, 5/16" thickness) with zinc-coated anti-corrosion treatment, a heavy-duty 5-piece crossmember, aluminum frame rail crossmembers, and a square end-of-frame with steel crossmember on a custom wheelbase/overhang. Aluminum painted air tanks are fitted with pull cords, nylon chassis air hose, a Bendix AD-HF air dryer with heater and coalescing filter, and body connections at 5' BOC.
Suspension
Peterbilt Air Trac rear suspension rated 23,000 lbs (lightweight configuration) with air springs and internal bumpers, plus a dash-mounted dump switch with indicator light. Cab air suspension is also equipped.
Cab & Interior
Aluminum cab under a Peterbilt Aero 107" BBC SMC hood with a molded charcoal crown, bright-finish hood crown, and thermal insulation package. ProBilt interior in charcoal gray with a curved roof. Sears premium driver seat (heated, black) and Sears passenger seat, with a seat skirt, air ride and high-back configuration on the driver's side, vinyl surfaces, non-air-ride high-back passenger seating, a right-hand driver's armrest, and an under-seat toolbox on the passenger side. Multi-function steering wheel with PB logo, integrated audio and cruise controls, on a tilt/telescoping column. High-visibility yellow-painted interior grabhandles, metal interior door kick plates, and a textured, NFPA-compliant exterior cab entry grabhandle. Day cab configuration with a one-piece curved windshield, dark window tint, 3-piece fixed rear cab glass, power door locks and windows, and a combination fresh-air heater/air conditioner. Aero mirror housings in bright finish with a motorized, heated Peterbilt aero mirror featuring an integrated convex lens, plus a black-housed look-down mirror over the passenger door. Audio is handled by a ConcertClass AM/FM/weatherband radio with 3.5mm aux input, a 2-speaker package, Bluetooth phone/audio, and a USB port; radio mutes automatically in reverse. An under-cab-mounted air horn, electric windshield wipers with intermittent feature, and auto-reset circuit protection round out the cab. The digital cluster 7" display houses transmission oil temperature, engine hourmeter, engine PTO hourmeter, engine manifold pressure (turbo boost), engine percent torque, and a voltmeter gauge, alongside a dual-scale MPH-over-KPH speedometer and an air restriction indicator. Additional equipment includes three extra dash switches, LED headlamps with heaters, five chrome-housed aero LED marker lights, switch and wiring for a beacon/strobe light, LED stop/turn/tail/backup lighting, a fender-mounted load light with wiring, a triangle reflector kit, an outboard-mounted fire extinguisher, and a 107 dB backup alarm. Telematics hardware is installed, though remote connectivity is disabled per applicable right-to-repair regulations.

Fitted with a tank-style body measuring 216" in length and 120" in height, with a maximum laden weight rating of 1,000 lbs, configured for tanker, liquid bulk service hauling petroleum products. Fuel & DEF System
A D-shaped aluminum 70-gallon fuel tank is mounted LH under cab with a non-slip step, finished with a polished surface and polished tank straps. The DEF tank is mounted LH BOC (5.5-gallon capacity for this Medium Duty configuration), maintaining a DEF-to-fuel ratio between 1:1 and 2:1, and finished with a polished stainless steel cover and drain plug.
