Overview
This new 2025 Peterbilt Model 537 Medium Duty is configured for petroleum products hauling, spec'd as a tanker for liquid bulk service with a two-stage Axalta paint finish — white cab, hood, fenders, and roof over a black frame. Total estimated chassis weight is 14,860 lbs.

Engine & Drivetrain
PACCAR PX-9 rated at 330 HP @ 2,000 RPM (governed at 2,200 RPM) with 1,000 lb-ft of torque @ 1,200 RPM, Productivity spec, 2024-emissions compliant (2025 model year engine). EMUX electronics architecture, typical operating speed of 62 MPH, and powertrain optimized for performance in vocational applications or heavy GCWR. Paired with an Allison 3000 RDS-P Rugged Duty Series automatic transmission (Gen 6) in a 6-speed close-ratio configuration, dash-mounted push-button shifter, auto-neutral at stop and when the parking brake is set, 1710 HD driveline with a midship bearing, and LH-mounted trans PTO provisions with a Chelsea PTO opening. Remote PTO/throttle provision (12-pin, 250K, J1939). VGT exhaust brake, Horton on/off fan clutch, high-efficiency cooling system, and an 18.7 CFM air compressor. Single RH SOC exhaust with DPF/SCR under cab (single module) and chrome standpipes. PACCAR 160-amp alternator, PACCAR 12V starter, three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA), low-voltage disconnect system, and a battery disconnect switch mounted on the battery box. 110-120V immersion block heater included.

Chassis & Axles
10-5/8" steel frame rails (286"-325" range), 5/16" thickness, zinc-coated anti-corrosion treatment, with a heavy-duty 5-piece crossmember. Wheelbase measures 188", with FAX/BOC at 67.5", cab/axle at 120.5", and cab/EOF at 220.5". Front axle is a Dana Spicer E1002IL rated 10,000 lbs with a 3.5" drop; rear axle is a Dana Spicer S23-190 rated 23,000 lbs on a 5.57 ratio, with a driver-controlled differential lock (speed-interlocked) and Bendix Smart ATC traction control. GAWR is 10,000 lbs front / 23,000 lbs rear, GVWR and GCW are both 33,000 lbs, and maximum grade rating is 6%. Bendix air cam drum brakes are fitted front (16.5" x 5") and rear (16.5" x 7") with a 4S4M ABS system, upsized parking brakes, gusseted cam brackets front and rear, heavy-duty cam bushings, and synthetic axle lubricant throughout. Fuel is carried in a D-shaped 60-gallon aluminum tank mounted LH behind the cab, with a small HD DEF tank (14-gallon HD / 5.5-gallon MD sizing per DEF-to-fuel ratio of 1:1–2:1) also mounted LH BOC under a polished stainless-steel cover.

Suspension
Front: taper leaf springs with shocks, rated 13,200 lbs. Rear: Peterbilt Air Trac suspension rated 23,000 lbs, light-weight configuration.

Cab & Interior
Peterbilt Aero 107" BBC SMC hood with molded charcoal crown and aluminum cab, bright-finish hood crown, and a ProBilt charcoal gray curved-roof interior with a thermal insulation package. Sears premium heated driver seat (air ride, high back, RH armrest) and a Sears vinyl mid-back passenger seat with an integrated toolbox and inboard record holder. Multi-function steering wheel with PB logo, integrated audio and cruise controls, and a tilt/telescoping column. Digital instrument cluster with a 7" display showing transmission oil temperature, engine and PTO hourmeters, turbo boost, percent torque, voltmeter, air restriction indicator, and brake application air pressure, plus a dual-scale (MPH/KPH) speedometer. Power door locks and windows, a one-piece curved windshield, and a fixed one-piece glass rear window. Combo fresh-air heater/air conditioner. ConcertClass AM/FM/WB radio with 3.5mm aux input, a 2-speaker package, Bluetooth phone/audio, and a USB port, along with global telematics hardware (SmartLinq, 5-year subscription). Motorized, heated aero mirrors with integrated convex lenses plus a black-housed look-down mirror over the passenger door, and a stainless-steel outside sunvisor. Twin roof-mounted round air horns (26"), high-visibility yellow interior grabhandles, metal interior door kick plates, and a textured, NFPA-compliant exterior entry grabhandle. Safety equipment includes a 107 dB backup alarm, a triangle reflector kit, a fire extinguisher, and auto-reset circuit protection.

Body & Equipment
Tank body configured for petroleum products / tanker liquid bulk service, measuring 288" in length and 162" in height, with a maximum laden weight rating of 1,000 lbs. Chassis is prepped with body connections 5' BOC for the body builder installation.

Tires & Wheels
Front tires are Bridgestone 11R22.5 R268 Ecopia (16-ply); rear tires are Bridgestone 11R22.5 M726ELA (14-ply). Wheels are Alcoa 880677 22.5 x 8.25 high-polish aluminum front and rear, finished with Dura-Bright treatment and mirror-polished outer surfaces, plus wheel guards fitted to the single axle.
