Engine & Drivetrain Powered by a PACCAR MX-13 engine rated 455 HP @ 1,600 RPM (governed @ 2,200 RPM) with 1,650 lb-ft of torque @ 900 RPM, 2024-emissions compliant. Features include EMUX electronics architecture, engine idle shutdown timer, a typical operating speed setting of 62 MPH, powertrain optimized for performance GCWR in vocational/heavy applications, and engine monitoring protection with derate. Equipped with an engine compression brake, PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, PACCAR premium starter, three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA), low voltage disconnect system, WABCO 25.9 CFM air compressor, high-efficiency cooling system, dual self-cleaning under-hood pre-cleaners, a single firewall-mounted air cleaner, PACCAR fuel/water separator with extended service interval, immersion-type block heater (110–120V), steel oil pan, and a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stops. Exhaust is routed through a single RH under-cab DPF/SCR module with curved-tip, chrome-clad standpipes. Paired with an Allison 4500 RDS-P Rugged Duty Series (Gen 6) automatic transmission in a 6-speed configuration with a dash-mounted lever shifter, RPL20 interaxle driveline, RPL25 SD driveline with midship bearing, dash-mounted electric-over-hydraulic PTO control, and a park brake interlock for the transmission-mounted PTO. Chassis & Axles Front axle: PACCAR FX-20 steer axle rated 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop, taper leaf springs and shocks, and PACCAR FX wide-track. Steering is handled by a Sheppard HD94 dual-gear power steering unit with a frame-mounted, cooled reservoir. Air disc brakes front and rear (tandem drive axle) with PHP10 preset-plus hubs throughout. Rear axle is a Meritor RT46-160 rated 46,000 lbs with heavy-wall drive axles, differential lock with speed interlock, Bendix ESP electronic stability program (truck/end-dump-roll-off configuration), ABS 6S6M, tire pressure monitoring, and synthetic axle lubricant. A Hendrickson EXS13 self-steering pusher axle rated 13,500 lbs is mounted 49" from the centerline of the forward drive axle, includes one air tank, and is controlled via a dash-mounted lift axle regulator switch and gauge with a stowed-lower setting to maximize body clearance. Ratings: GAWR front 20,000 lbs, first intermediate 13,500 lbs, second intermediate 23,000 lbs, rear 23,000 lbs; GVWR 79,500 lbs; front axle load 20,000 lbs; rear axle load 46,000 lbs; GCW 80,000 lbs. Wheelbase is 226", with a maximum grade rating of 6%. Frame consists of 10-3/4" steel rails (to 354") at 3/8" thickness, with a full steel inner liner, zinc-coated anti-corrosion treated rails, aluminum crossmembers, and heavy-duty iron front spring brackets. Finished with a tapered, chromed steel front bumper (2 tow points) and a heavy-duty external tow eye.
Suspension Hendrickson HMX EX 460 rear suspension rated 46,000 lbs, 54" spread, HAULMAAX design with 70K creep rating. Cab air suspension is also included.
Cab & Interior Day cab configuration (no sleeper) with a 115" BBC aluminum cab and Metton hood, stainless steel crown and grille with tilt assist. Premier interior finished in Sterling Gray with rubber flooring and a thermal insulation package. Seating includes a Peterbilt LX premium-level driver seat (air ride, high back, Mordura trim) and a Peterbilt ST non-adjustable passenger seat (high back, Mordura trim), driver and passenger armrests, and a toolbox under the passenger seat. Multi-function steering wheel with PB logo, audio, and cruise controls on a tilt/telescoping column. Vanity mirrors on the sun visors and a stainless steel outside sunvisor. Audio package includes a ConcertClass AM/FM radio with weatherband and 3.5mm aux input, a standard 2-speaker package, Bluetooth phone/audio, USB port, auto-mute in reverse, and a Cobra 29LX CB radio with weatherband mounted at the center header with a dedicated antenna. Also equipped with global telematics hardware and a SmartLINQ remote diagnostics subscription. Power door locks and power windows, a one-piece curved windshield, electric wipers with intermittent feature, and a fixed one-piece glass rear cab window. Motorized, heated Peterbilt aero rear-view mirrors with integrated convex lenses (body-color housing) and a look-down mirror over the passenger door. Combo fresh-air heater/air conditioner. A 15" digital cluster display shows engine oil temperature, transmission oil temperature, air filter restriction pressure, brake application air pressure, engine hourmeter, turbo boost, engine percent torque, and pusher axle pressure. Rounded out with auto-reset circuit protection, an NFPA-compliant exterior cab entry grabhandle, a removable bugscreen behind the grille, a triangle reflector kit, a fire extinguisher, and a 107 dB backup alarm.
Body & Equipment 16'6" TCM steel end-dump body with a TEBCO AeroForce asphalt-style 6" rubber flap. Body lighting junction box with wiring at end-of-frame and an AE 7-way socket connection strapped to the rail. Aluminum space-saver battery box (RH, back-of-cab, side access) and an aluminum non-slip aftertreatment/cab entry step (RH under-cab). Fender lips measure 2.25" wide. Aluminum painted air tanks. Fuel system consists of a 26" aluminum 120-gallon fuel tank mounted LH under-cab with a non-slip step; DEF tank is mounted LH back-of-cab (small, 14-gallon capacity) with a polished stainless steel cover and a DEF-to-fuel ratio of 2:1 or greater. Exterior finish is a two-stage Axalta white paint on the cab, hood, fenders, and roof, with a black frame.
Tires & Wheels Front: 315/80R22.5, 20-ply tires on Alcoa 22.5x9.00 high-polish aluminum wheels. Rear (tandem): 11R22.5, 14-ply tires on Alcoa 22.5x8.25 high-polish aluminum wheels (8 tires/8 rims). Pusher axle: (2) 275/70R22.5, 18-ply tires on Alcoa 22.5x8.25 high-polish aluminum wheels.
