Engine & Drivetrain
Powered by a Cummins X15 rated 450 HP at 1,900 RPM (governed at 2,000 RPM) with 1,650 lb-ft of torque at 950 RPM, a 2024-emissions PROD-series engine. Paired with an Allison 4500 RDS-P Rugged Duty Series (Gen 6) automatic transmission in a 6-speed configuration, dash-mounted lever shifter, Allison Neutral-at-Stop, and an RPL25 SD driveline with one midship bearing. Equipped with an Intebrake engine compression brake (controls on the RH column), remote PTO/throttle provision, a 37.4 CFM naturally aspirated air compressor, and a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator. Rear axle ratio is 4.10, set for a typical operating speed of 70 MPH. Cooling uses a high-efficiency system with dual self-cleaning pre-cleaners and a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stop duty. Fuel filtration is a Davco 382 fuel/water separator with 12V heat. Cold-weather aids include a 110–120V immersion block heater and a PACCAR premium starter.
Chassis & Axles
Front axle is a PACCAR FX-20 steer axle rated 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop, taper leaf springs, and Sheppard HD94 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted, cooled reservoir. Rear axle is a Meritor RT46-160 tandem rated 46,000 lbs with a differential lock and speed interlock. Braking is air disc front and rear with ABS (6S6M), Bendix ESP electronic stability program, and a Bendix AD-HF EP air dryer with heater and coalescing filter. Fuel is carried in a 26" aluminum 100-gallon tank mounted LH under cab (polished, non-slip step; no RH tank furnished), with a small HD 14-gallon (MD 5.5-gallon) DEF tank mounted LH BOC under a polished stainless cover, sized to a 2:1-or-greater DEF-to-fuel ratio. Electrical power comes from three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA) in an aluminum space-saver battery box (RH BOC, side access), with a low-voltage disconnect system. A deep-tapered chrome steel bumper with 2 tow points and a heavy-duty external tow eye are fitted up front. Maximum grade rating is 6%, with operating area restrictions of 40' length, 102" width, and 13.5' height, registered for United States use.
Suspension
Hendrickson HMX EX 460 rear suspension rated 46,000 lbs with a 54" spread, Haulmaax rubber springs, and a 70K creep rating. Front end rides on taper leaf springs with Tenneco shocks on the steer axle.
Cab & Interior
VOC 121 BBC aluminum cab with Metton hood, stainless steel crown and grille with tilt assist, configured as a day cab. Premier interior in Sterling Gray with a rubber floor and thermal insulation package. Peterbilt LX premium-level driver seat (air ride, high back, Mordura) and a Peterbilt ST non-adjustable passenger seat (non-air ride, high back, Mordura), driver/passenger armrests, and a toolbox under the passenger seat. Multi-function steering wheel with PB logo, integrated audio and cruise controls, tilt/telescoping column, and vanity mirrors on the sunvisors. One-piece curved windshield, power door locks and window lifts, combo fresh air heater/air conditioner, and a stainless steel outside sunvisor. Motorized, heated aero mirrors with integrated convex lenses, plus a look-down mirror over the passenger door. ConcertClass AM/FM radio with weatherband, 3.5mm aux, Bluetooth phone/audio, USB port, and a 2-speaker package, backed by a Cobra 29 CB radio with weatherband and a low-mount cowl antenna. Equipped with global telematics hardware and a SmartLinq RD remote diagnostics subscription (5 years). Also includes a removable bugscreen, electric windshield wipers with intermittent feature, cab air suspension, an exterior cab entry grabhandle, a triangle reflector kit, an inboard-mounted fire extinguisher, and a 107 dB backup alarm. The 15" digital instrument cluster displays engine oil temperature, transmission oil temperature, air filter restriction, brake application air pressure, engine hours, turbo boost, and percent torque, with a dash switch to deactivate traction control.
Body & Equipment
Fitted with a Rogers Manufacturing insulated end dump body (Body Serial # 160R1 51125; build code 51125 — 160R1, insulated front, 250AR floor, S42B SSins T48 HLT 6P C20R L8), 198" long and 120" high, rated for a 5,000-lb max laden weight. Body insulation is R/A series with 22-gauge stainless steel side panels and a thermometer hole on each side. The steel body carries a standard light package, 8" black wood sideboards (under 16'), and 5/16" standard-length chain, finished in standard black (prep/prime/paint) to match the black chassis paint. A Donovan curved aluminum arm assembly (RMC4) supports an 18-9 x 9-0 vinyl tarp system, with a front 36" anti-sail bracket assembly and a rear 30" bracket assembly. Hoist equipment includes a 74-135 Hyva cylinder, a Hyva PTO kit (DIN, for Allison 3000-series and up), and a Hyva 085L-BI-4H3-CVP (22.5) DIN-shaft pump, run through a dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-hydraulic PTO control and dash switch. A 50-ton-capacity RD50-10 pintle hook rides on a C12.0 @ 30 mount assembly. A body lighting junction box with wiring is mounted at the EOF, alongside a 7-way socket AE connection strapped to the rail. Cab, hood, and fenders are finished in a two-stage Axalta Viper Red.
Tires & Wheels
Front tires are 315/80R22.5, 20-ply HAU3, mounted on Alcoa 22.5x9.00 high-polish aluminum wheels. Rear tires are 11R24.5, 16-ply HDC3 (8 total) with TPMS sensors, mounted on Alcoa 24.5x8.25 high-polish aluminum wheels (8 total).
